Editing

Alongside being a Lighting Cameraman, Matt also started as an Avid Editor in 1995 on a NuBus system. Since then Matt has been using Avid extensively with both Media Composer and Symphony, from Meridian, Nitris through to the latest third party hardware systems.

You can rely on Matt to bring a creative approach to editing, what ever the project, and what ever the timescales. Be it onsite at a conference or live event, editing with a laptop, or in a nice air condition online edit suite. He is equally happy on both PC and Mac platforms.

Matt is very good at creating something from limited resources, and continues to amaze clients with the end results. Matt keeps up his skills in both the camera work and the editing. Some clients use him purely as a cameraman, some use him purely as an editor. The shrewd customers use him to shoot and edit. Imagine the head start you get when the editor already knows the footage inside out as he was the one that shot it in the first place.

The editing world is constantly changing and Matt keeps his knowledge up to date with the various systems and codecs.

In 2011 Matt started editing on Adobe Premiere Pro to satisfy the demands of a couple of clients. You now get the choice of Matt editing on Avid or Adobe.
